TV Recycling in Kansas City

Do you accept TVs for recycling?

Yes — we take TVs of any size, working or broken, any brand and any age. The first 3 TVs per visit are free; each additional TV is $10, any size. Computer monitors are always free with no limit. Bring them to Computer Recycling LLC at 125 E 10th Ave, North Kansas City, MO 64116. No appointment, no minimum quantity, no fee. We are open Monday to Friday 8am–3pm and Saturday 8am–2pm. Pull around to the back dock, ring the bell, and our crew comes out to unload for you — most drop-offs take under five minutes. Nothing is landfilled: working gear is refurbished for reuse and the rest is broken down for material recovery through R2v3 or e-Stewards certified partners. Larger volumes can be picked up instead.

How TV Recycling Works

When you bring a TV to Computer Recycling LLC, it enters our responsible recycling stream. Each television is carefully disassembled and sorted by material type. The metals — aluminum, copper, and steel — are separated for recycling. Plastics are sorted by resin type and sent to plastic recyclers. Circuit boards are processed to recover precious metals. LCD panels are handled by specialized processors who safely extract and contain the liquid crystals.

The result: your old TV stays out of the landfill, hazardous materials are contained and processed safely, and valuable raw materials are recovered for reuse in new products. It is a complete, closed-loop recycling process.

Business & Bulk TV Recycling

Hotels, hospitals, schools, offices, and other businesses frequently need to dispose of multiple TVs at once. Whether you are replacing digital signage, upgrading conference room displays, or clearing out old inventory, Computer Recycling LLC handles bulk TV recycling for businesses across the Kansas City metro.

For business volumes of 3 or more gaylord boxes, we offer free pickup service. We will come to your location, load the TVs, and transport them to our facility for processing. Contact us at (816) 295-2334 to arrange a pickup.

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of TVs do you accept for recycling?

We accept LCD, LED, OLED, and all flat-screen TVs of any size and brand. We do NOT accept CRT (tube) TVs or plasma TVs. If your TV is flat and lightweight, we can recycle it — first 3 free, then $10 each.

Why don’t you accept CRT TVs?

CRT (cathode ray tube) TVs contain large amounts of lead in the glass, making them extremely expensive to recycle safely. The cost of processing CRTs exceeds the value of recovered materials. We recommend contacting your local waste management for CRT disposal options.

How much does TV recycling cost in Kansas City?

Your first 3 TVs are free; each additional TV is $10 at any size, for LCD, LED and flat-screen TVs. Just drive to our facility at 125 E 10th Ave, North Kansas City during business hours. No appointment needed.

Can I drop off a broken TV for recycling?

Yes. We accept broken, cracked, or non-working flat-screen TVs. Even damaged TVs contain recyclable metals, plastics, and glass that we can recover through our recycling process.

Do you offer TV recycling pickup for businesses?

Yes. Businesses with large volumes of TVs (3 or more gaylord boxes of electronics) can schedule a free pickup. We serve the entire Kansas City metro area. Call (816) 295-2334 or visit our Schedule Pickup page.

Why don't you accept CRT TVs?

CRT (cathode ray tube) TVs contain large amounts of lead in the glass, making them extremely expensive to recycle safely. The cost of processing CRTs exceeds the value of recovered materials. We recommend contacting your local waste management for CRT disposal options.
