Do you accept LED TVs for recycling?
Yes — we take LED TVs of any size, working or broken, any brand and any age. The first 3 TVs per visit are free; each additional TV is $10, any size. Computer monitors are always free with no limit. Bring them to Computer Recycling LLC at 125 E 10th Ave, North Kansas City, MO 64116. No appointment, no minimum quantity, no fee. We are open Monday to Friday 8am–3pm and Saturday 8am–2pm. Pull around to the back dock, ring the bell, and our crew comes out to unload for you — most drop-offs take under five minutes. Nothing is landfilled: working gear is refurbished for reuse and the rest is broken down for material recovery through R2v3 or e-Stewards certified partners. Larger volumes can be picked up instead.

We accept all LED televisions regardless of brand or size: Samsung, LG, Sony, TCL, Vizio, Hisense, and more. From 24-inch bedroom TVs to 85-inch living room displays. Working or broken — we take them.
Why Recycling Matters
LED TVs contain mercury, lead, and other heavy metals in their circuit boards and LED backlighting arrays. A single TV can contaminate up to 50,000 gallons of groundwater if improperly landfilled. Recycling recovers copper, aluminum, glass, and plastics while safely handling hazardous components.
Buyback & Value Recovery
Newer, large-format LED TVs in working condition — especially smart TVs from Samsung, LG, and Sony — may have resale value. Contact us if you have recent-model TVs to discuss buyback options.
You can drop off up to 3 TVs free of charge. Beyond that, each additional TV is $10, any size — so five TVs costs $20, not $50. Computer monitors are always free, with no quantity limit.

Once your LED TV arrives at our facility, trained technicians assess it for resale potential or parts recovery. Working units in good cosmetic condition may be refurbished and resold, extending their useful life and keeping them out of the waste stream entirely. TVs that cannot be reused are carefully dismantled by hand. The LED backlight strips are separated from the panel glass, the power supply and main boards are removed for precious-metal recovery, and the plastic housing is sorted by resin type for plastics recycling. Copper wiring, aluminum frames, and steel chassis components are all sent to licensed smelters. Nothing we receive ends up in a landfill — every material stream is processed responsibly, and hazardous components like capacitors are handled according to EPA guidelines.
