Looking for Chromebook recycling in Kansas City or Chromebook recycling near me? Computer Recycling LLC accepts every Chromebook brand in any condition. Whether your Chromebook has reached its Auto Update Expiration (AUE) date, has a broken screen, a failed keyboard, or simply will not boot, we will recycle it for free. Chromebooks contain aluminum, copper, lithium batteries, and circuit boards with recoverable materials that should never end up in a landfill.
We work extensively with Kansas City area schools and districts that need to dispose of large volumes of expired Chromebooks. Our team handles everything — data wiping, battery removal, and material separation. Before dropping off school or enterprise Chromebooks, please deprovision the devices from your Google Admin Console to release Chrome Enterprise licenses.

Google Admin Deprovisioning Reminder
If your Chromebooks are managed through Google Admin Console (common for schools and businesses), please deprovision the devices before recycling. This step removes the device from your management domain and releases the Chrome Enterprise or Chrome Education license for reuse. Without deprovisioning, the license remains tied to the retired device.
To deprovision, log into your Google Admin Console, navigate to Devices, select the Chromebooks to retire, and choose the deprovision option. If you need assistance with this process, our team can walk you through it when you schedule your pickup or drop-off.
Personal Chromebooks that are not part of an enterprise or school domain simply need to be signed out of your Google account. A Powerwash (factory reset) from the settings menu is recommended but not required.
