What We Accept

We accept all Chromebook brands: Dell, HP, Lenovo, Acer, ASUS, Samsung, and Google Pixelbook. Individual units or bulk pallets from school districts. Enterprise-enrolled Chromebooks are fine — we handle the data securely.

🌎

Why Recycling Matters

Chromebooks contain lithium batteries, plastic housings, and electronic components that don't belong in landfills. School districts retiring hundreds or thousands of expired Chromebooks face a massive disposal challenge. We process them responsibly — recovering materials and ensuring proper battery handling.

💰

Buyback & Value Recovery

Newer Chromebooks with current Auto Update Expiration (AUE) dates can have resale value, especially enterprise models. School districts and businesses retiring large fleets should contact us — we may be able to offer value recovery for qualifying units.

What Schools and IT Teams Should Know

Chromebooks present a unique recycling challenge because they reach end-of-life faster than most laptops. Once a Chromebook passes its Auto Update Expiration date, it stops receiving security patches and becomes unsuitable for student or enterprise use — even if the hardware still works. This means school districts often need to retire large fleets of perfectly functional devices all at once, creating a significant e-waste burden if not handled responsibly.

Before recycling, IT administrators should unenroll Chromebooks from Google Admin Console and perform a factory reset (Powerwash) to remove student data and account credentials. Remove any asset tags or inventory labels if your organization requires it. For managed fleets, we can work with your IT department on chain-of-custody documentation. Chromebooks contain lithium-polymer batteries, polycarbonate plastics, and small circuit boards with recoverable copper and tin — materials that should not end up in a dumpster or landfill.
