Free Flip Phone & Feature Phone Recycling
Old flip phones, feature phones, and basic phones — don’t throw them away, bring them to us. Always free. No appointment needed.
What We Accept
We accept all flip phones and feature phones: Motorola RAZR (classic and new), Samsung flip phones, LG flip phones, Nokia feature phones, Alcatel, Kyocera, Jitterbug, and every other basic phone. Even phones from the early 2000s. If it makes calls, we’ll take it.
Why Recycling Matters
Flip phones may be small, but they still contain lithium-ion batteries, lead solder, copper, and small amounts of precious metals. Millions of old flip phones sit forgotten in drawers across America. Recycling them recovers materials and prevents batteries from deteriorating and leaking toxic chemicals in landfills.
Buyback & Value Recovery
Classic flip phones rarely have individual resale value, but collectible models (original Motorola RAZR, certain Nokia models) can be exceptions. Bulk quantities from telecom companies or businesses are always welcome for free recycling.

Studies estimate that hundreds of millions of old cell phones are sitting unused in drawers and closets across the United States. These forgotten flip phones and feature phones still contain valuable materials — each one holds small amounts of gold, silver, palladium, copper, and cobalt. Individually the quantities are tiny, but collectively they represent a significant source of recoverable precious metals that never needs to be mined from the earth.
Before recycling your flip phone, remove the SIM card if it has one — older phones stored contacts and sometimes text messages directly on the SIM. If the phone powers on, delete your contacts and any saved messages, then perform a factory reset through the settings menu. If the battery is removable, you can bring it separately or leave it in — we handle both. Even phones with dead batteries, cracked screens, or water damage are perfectly fine to recycle. The lithium-ion battery inside should never go in household trash, as aging batteries become more prone to thermal events when compressed or punctured in garbage processing equipment.
