What We Accept

We accept all rechargeable and single-use batteries: lithium-ion (Li-Ion), lithium-polymer (LiPo), nickel-cadmium (NiCad), nickel-metal hydride (NiMH), sealed lead-acid (SLA), alkaline, and button cell batteries. Laptop batteries, phone batteries, power tool battery packs, UPS batteries, and loose batteries of all sizes.

🌎

Why Recycling Matters

Batteries are among the most hazardous items in household waste. Lithium batteries can cause fires in waste trucks and landfills. Lead-acid batteries leach toxic lead and sulfuric acid. Cadmium from NiCad batteries is a known carcinogen. Proper recycling safely processes these chemistries, recovers valuable metals like lithium, cobalt, nickel, and lead, and prevents environmental contamination.

Buyback & Value Recovery

Large-format lithium-ion battery packs and bulk lead-acid batteries have commodity value. Businesses with significant battery volumes from fleet replacements, UPS swaps, or equipment upgrades should contact us for pricing.

Tips for Safe Battery Drop-Off

Batteries require special handling before recycling, and preparing them properly helps keep everyone safe. For loose lithium-ion or lithium-polymer batteries, place a piece of non-conductive tape (electrical tape or masking tape) over the terminals to prevent short circuits during transport. Never toss loose batteries into a bag where metal objects could bridge the contacts — this is a genuine fire hazard, especially with 9-volt batteries and exposed lithium cells.

If a battery is swollen, punctured, or showing signs of damage like bulging or discoloration, place it in a non-flammable container away from other materials and bring it to us as soon as possible. Do not attempt to pry swollen batteries out of laptops or phones yourself. It is illegal in most jurisdictions to dispose of rechargeable batteries in household trash due to their toxic heavy metals and fire risk in waste processing facilities. We handle all chemistries safely and ensure compliant downstream processing.
