What We Accept

We accept all types of radios: AM/FM radios, clock radios, portable radios, two-way radios and walkie-talkies (Motorola, Kenwood, Baofeng, Midland), CB radios, ham/amateur radios, weather radios, and satellite radios. Include chargers, antennas, and accessories.

🌎

Why Recycling Matters

Radios contain circuit boards with lead solder, copper wiring, nickel and cadmium batteries (in older two-way radios), and plastic housings. Commercial two-way radio fleets — common in hospitality, security, and construction — represent significant e-waste when retired. Recycling recovers metals and prevents battery chemicals from entering the environment.

Buyback & Value Recovery

Commercial two-way radio equipment from Motorola and Kenwood can retain significant resale value — especially digital models with current FCC licensing. Ham radio equipment is also sought after by collectors. Contact us with your inventory.

Common Questions About Radio Recycling

Many people wonder whether old radios are even worth recycling since they seem simple compared to computers or phones. The truth is that radios — especially two-way and ham models — contain valuable copper windings, nickel-cadmium or lithium battery packs, and circuit boards with recoverable metals. NiCd batteries found in older Motorola and Kenwood two-way radios are classified as hazardous waste and should never be thrown in the regular trash. If you are retiring a fleet of commercial two-way radios, bring the charging bases and gang chargers along with the handsets, as these contain additional recyclable materials. For ham radio operators, we also accept power supplies, antenna tuners, and SWR meters. There is no minimum quantity — even a single clock radio is welcome.
